How to reach Ferrara from Bologna airport
Car: about 45 minute drive
Cab: costs roughly 80 euros. Phone when you arrive and they'll come straight away. Coptabo: (0039) 051 372727
Bus: easy, takes an hour, 15 euros single. For departure times see website: www.ferrarabusandfly.it
Train: easy, follow these 2 simple steps:
1) Take the connecting shuttle from the airport to the railway station (about 20 minutes, the ticket will cost you roughly 5 euros and can be purchased on board). Alternatively you may prefer to get a cab. This will be faster but more expensive than the shuttle (it will cost you about 10-15 euros).
2) Trains connecting Ferrara and Bologna are frequent (about every 30 minutes) and inexpensive. The journey takes about 30 minutes if you take an inter-regional train, and about 50 minutes if you take a regional train.

From Venice airport
Driving around Venice is not that easy! That best way to get to Ferrara is by train. Note: there are two stations in Venice. “Venezia Mestre” is closer to both the airport and to Ferrara than “Venezia S. Lucia”.
1) Take the connecting shuttle from the airport to the railway station “Venezia Mestre” (not Venezia S. Lucia). The cost should be around 3 euro. Or you can get a cab which could cost around 20 euro.
2) Take the train from Venice to Ferrara (no need to change). The journey takes approximately 80 minutes.
